the River that Rises

Good Morning World :o)
Yep another rainy day in good olde New England. Does the sun ever shine more than one day? At times, I suppose it does. Lately though, it seems more like rain than sun...And because of this everyone will be worried once again about flooding. Nothing to take lightly considering the enormous damages that flooding can cause. Another fine feature of flooding, the roads are often closed. Being located 35 NW of Boston there are not many roads to choose from folks. The roads that are closed are always the main travel roads to any where you have to go! The river rises, and the bridge is suddenly flocked with spectators. Sheepishly I confess, I too, was one of those spectators last week at the river/bridge. Gotta tell ya though , I was not one of ' them' that was foolish enough to be standing on the actual bridge itself. The 'town powers that be ' had cautioned they may close the bridge for fear of failure to the structure. With constant pressure of high ever rising flood waters, I gotta agree. This lead to enormous traffic congested side streets that had never in their exsistence of ltime seen so much traffic. We shall see what the next few days will bring besides more Rain...
Now I am becoming seriously delayed of going outdoors. There is much to do as any home owner would agree after winter. The yard work is waiting patiently, the leaves will wait for ever as Imy adage is to let Mother Nature blow them away. What is up with raking... ? All the while I am silently whining about having to do the yaRdwork... Complained when I rented I wanted my own yard. Now that I have it, I complain that it has to be cleaned up... this would be a common conclusion for most...
Hey what can I tell ya ... I am not nor will I ever become a die hard Yankee... I prefer the combination of Southern Yankee...much more gentile :o) I walk slow, would rather work on my suntan pool side, ( and worst habit ) I smile and greet people in the morning. Seriuosly, say Good Morning to a Yankee and they look at you like they have just been Cursed, wait no they are gonna break out in Hives.. Yep you can see the stress on their face. Really they oughta try saying it a few times... and for Gods Sake ...Relax... On another subject, I refuse to say things like 'ain't that pissah? ' and I solomenly swear, I will forever use all 26 letters in the Alphabet, which does include the letter R.... as in caR , paRk, yaRd... until another Time... It's gonna be a Great Day~

Did you ever have ' one of those days' for oh say at least a month? Of which, during that month felt like a lifetime.? Well if you have experienced this, I want you to know that I have to. This being my personal inspiration for the title in my blog of ... It's gonna be a Great Day...
Yep, I really do tell myself that each day when I awaken. Does it really work you might being asking? Repeating the positive affirmations you may have read about but never acted upon. The answer, sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't...But then again, no two days are alike , right?
So there in case lies my point, that it may just help, so why not say it. What would otherwise might become one of those trying moments during your day, repeating the phrase does can/ seem /may help. The entire unselfish reason I share it with you...
Keeping this high pressurized life and all those pesky annoyances in perspective is not always easy, but can be managed. Yes, all by saying a simple uncomplicated phrase...
Besides reviewing my other options of acting out, unofficially known as ABB (adults behaving badly ) I think not to choose that option...
Blogging for me is an entirely new step into the unknown. You the pro blogger can probably already tell. I am a self professed work in progress in many areas of my life, that which now includes blogging. I have read some blogs that made me laugh, some that made me stop and reflect on what was being said. After some self contemplation I realized I too, have something to say. Will I say it like a well seasoned writer probably not, nor will my punctuation be properly in place. There may be times I misspell words unintentionally but rather opting to be human than corrected 'abc check mark ' of the electrical component that my fingers are dancing across the keys upon.
No matter who you are, where you are, or what time of day it is... as I said in the beginning of this blog, It's gonna be a Great Day... go forth now my friend and enjoy yours... Be Blessed....
